duhkh-bhog par vijay praapt karane kee ichchha aarambh se hai. parantu aisee ichchha maatr se lakshy kee praapti nahin hotee. aisee ichchha ke saath hamen sahee aur uchit paddhati apanaanee hogee. hamen bina thake prayaas karate rahana hoga-varshon aur yugon kee baat bhulaakar.


tabhee hamaare duhkhon ka ant hoga. buddh ne yah spasht roop se karake dikhaaya. tibbatee bauddh paramparaon ke anusaar, hamamen se adhisankhy log yah sochate hain ki om mani pedame ham ka jaap karana sabhee praaniyon, visheshatah ve log jo kathin sthitiyon ka saamana kar rahe hon, ke lie uttam hai.

When I look at myself, I find that there have been various changes in the body over the years. Day by day all of us are getting older; But at the same time, our knowledge and our experience are also increasing. But acquiring knowledge is easier than putting it into practice. Its implementation and conduct accordingly is not easy. It is difficult for me as well.


However, when I compare my thoughts today with those of twenty years ago, I see some change in them, some progress. It is not important how much progress has been made; Well, there has to be some progress. Therefore, from one point of view, the transformation or progress or transformation of the mind is easy and from the other point of view difficult.


But one thing is very clear – I assure you that the mind can be transformed if you make a continuous effort with determination and commitment. So even if you feel that progress is too slow, it is wise to keep trying, because you are changing. If you are not able to bring about any dramatic change, you are only able to bring about minimal change, yet change is definitely there.


In Buddhism and some ancient Hindu traditions, we believe in reincarnation—life afterlife. So in this life, if we make progress in the spiritual realm then even limited progress will affect our next life. Efforts in the next birth will continue the progress. The new progress achieved in this birth will also have a positive effect on the next life.


That is why Sakya Muni Buddha tells us that a seeker should speak in the language of ages, not days and hours. From the Buddhist point of view, our life is eternal. The desire to conquer sorrow and enjoyment is there from the beginning. But such a desire alone does not lead to the achievement of the goal.

With such desire, we have to adopt the right and proper method. We have to keep trying tirelessly – forgetting about the years and the ages. Only then will our sorrows end. Buddha clearly did this.
